Data for Children Collaborative’s Deputy Director, Fraser Macdonald, Joins the Childlight Research Ethics Sub-Committee

Data for Children Collaborative’s Deputy Director, Fraser Macdonald, joined the Childlight Research Ethics Sub-Committee. Childlight is an institute that uses data to better understand the prevalence, nature and scale of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CESA) with the aim of achieving greater global child safety.

In his new role, Fraser will collaborate with an advisory board comprising experts in law, social work, childhood studies and digital research. Together, they will provide expert guidance and interdisciplinary perspectives to ensure Childlight’s projects adhere to the highest ethical standards on CSEA. The committee will facilitate ethical improvements, with the ultimate aim of safeguarding vulnerable children across the world.

"We are delighted to have the expertise of Fraser specifically and the Data for Children Collaborative more broadly in the Childlight ethics review board. The Data for Children Collaborative has a long track record of supporting ethics involving children for key issues globally."
